Course Description:

This course is a planned and supervised learning experience gained through first-hand observations and operational responsibilities. Participants are required to implement several carefully planned and arranged activities in their workplace, designed to provide effective and valuable learning opportunities for all interns.

Course Outcomes

By the end of the course, participants will be able to:

  • Apply the knowledge and skills acquired through previous coursework and previous experience to actual problems, challenges, and administrative duties.
  • Prepare an internship plan which includes a description of various activities, some of which will be undertaken during the course.
  • Submit a work log documenting an in-depth analysis of two internship activities focusing on the reasons for choosing each activity, the participants, the desired outcome and the actual outcome.  Attention will be directed to alternative solutions which could have produced different or better results.
  • Document and reflect on 10 hours of administrative activities.
  • Prepare a final report which discusses the internship experience identifying actual knowledge gained, personal and professional development, expected and unexpected outcomes, as well as future goals and plans.
  • Develop the 21st century skills.
